Campaign Story

Hi my name is Elizabeth my husband and I have been married for five years now.This might be the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to write. We have been trying to get pregnant for over five years now.A little about myself. I was diagnosed with a cancer tumor when I was just twelve years old. At the age of twelve years old the doctors in South Africa removed the tumor but ended up cutting both my fallopian tubes in the process. Hence the reason why my husband and I can’t have children the old fashion way.As we grow up we dream and plan our lives which involve our careers, families, and our future lifestyles. Unfortunately not everything we plan came true there are bumps and hurdles in life. Some just makes us stumble while others are crippling. One of those crippling wonders of life is known as Infertility.Infertility is defined as not being able to become pregnant after a five years of trying.Another part of me wants to rationalize what a terrific father my husband will be and how I will strive to always be the best mother of course, in all honesty,I will be the kind of mother who wants her child to know the journey we took to find him/her. Regardless of the outcome of any treatment. I want them to know that each step was taken with great love, faith, determination and hope for them
